Supported by the Champion Ecosystem

Rooted here. Ready for anywhere.

Beyond the Barrio helps people unlock purpose, build capability, and pursue meaningful opportunity—regardless of where they begin.

Where you begin should not determine how far you can go.

Purpose and potential are not confined to cities or places with greater access. Beyond the Barrio helps connect what is already within people with the learning, relationships, and pathways that can help carry them farther.

What We Are Building

Purpose

To unlock purpose and possibility in people, wherever they begin.

Mission

To equip people in rural and under-resourced communities through education, supportive relationships, and pathways to meaningful impact.

Vision

A world where geography is no barrier to opportunity and people in every community can live out their purpose and create meaningful impact.

Meet the Co-Founders

Co-Founder · Strategy & Ecosystem Development

Jesse supports Beyond the Barrio through strategy, leadership development, global workforce pathways, and the development of a sustainable economic engine. As the founder and primary architect of the Champion Ecosystem, he builds the relationships and systems that help local leaders expand their capacity and carry the work forward.

Liza leads from within the community. Jesse helps build the strategy and support around the vision. Together, they are developing Beyond the Barrio as an independent, locally led movement through which opportunity can multiply across people, families, and communities.

The Identity We Grow Into

You Do Not Have to Arrive as a Leader.

Beyond the Barrio helps people grow into the Champion identity over time. A Champion recognizes and takes ownership of their purpose, steps forward when it matters, and takes responsibility for creating opportunity for others.

You can begin with curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the courage to take your next step.

Leadership begins with learning, ownership, and the willingness to act.

Purpose Meets Practical Opportunity.

Barrio to Borderless

Purpose. Capability. Readiness. Impact.

Barrio to Borderless helps people explore purpose, build digital capability, prepare for meaningful work, and develop the confidence and responsibility to create meaningful impact.

Beyond the Barrio is the movement. Barrio to Borderless is its first practical pathway.

Inside Barrio to Borderless

What the Pathway Helps People Build

Barrio to Borderless brings purpose, practical learning, supportive relationships, and preparation for meaningful opportunity into one locally rooted pathway.

  • Purpose and Direction

Space to explore identity, strengths, values, purpose, and an appropriate next step.

  • Digital Capability

Foundational technology, communication, responsible digital practices, and the adaptability to continue learning.

  • Career Readiness

Professional habits, applied projects, communication practice, career exposure, and preparation for meaningful work.

  • Supportive Relationships

Facilitators, peers, local leaders, coaches, mentors where available, and people who encourage both growth and responsibility.

The goal is not to force every participant into the same path. It is to help each person build the clarity and capability to take a meaningful next step.

Beginning Here. Built to Travel.

Beyond the Barrio begins in Cansilayan with a vision that may one day serve rural and under-resourced communities across the Philippines and beyond.

We are starting with one community so we can listen, learn, and build responsibly.

Future Communities

Locally led and responsibly adapted

Purpose already exists here.

Beyond the Barrio is beginning with one community, one pathway, and a commitment to learn responsibly.

The goal is to help people develop what they already carry and use it to build meaningful opportunity for themselves and others.
